Stock Market Plummets to Record Low Not Seen Since 2008

The stock market has hit its lowest point since 2008 due to various factors. Issues such as instability in China, uncertainty from the Federal Reserve, falling oil prices, and stagnant earnings growth have contributed to the decline on Wall Street. These problems have already wiped out 6% of the S&P 500’s value this year.

Despite these setbacks, there’s some optimism. A survey by CNNMoney shows that financial experts expect a year-end boost, commonly called a ‘Santa Claus rally.’ They believe this could lift stocks and prevent a bear market, with predictions indicating the S&P 500 might close the year at 2015, which would be a 3% increase from Friday’s close.
