Netflix Contemplates Price Hike

Netflix Contemplates Price Hike

Netflix is raising the price of their popular streaming service by $1 to help cover content costs. The new standard plan will now cost $10 a month. However, most of the 42 million U.S. members won’t be affected by this change. If you subscribed to Netflix before May 2014, you’ll still pay $8 per month due to a price lock-in that was set two years ago when they last increased their U.S. fees by $1. If you joined after that, you’ll continue paying $9 per month until October 2016.
