Cyber Intruder Modifies Thousands of WiFi Passwords

Lately, a hacker has been doing something unusual by helping people instead of causing trouble. If your home WiFi still has the default password, this hacker makes you change it. If any of your communication channels aren’t secure, you’re prompted to protect them. Although these actions are technically against the law, experts believe this hacker acts as a sort of helpful cyber vigilante.

This interesting software, called “Ifwatch,” is spreading quickly, according to cybersecurity experts at Symantec. Val Saengphaibul, Symantec’s threat intelligence officer, noted that they haven’t seen any malicious activity from this software so far. However, accessing networked computers without permission is still illegal.
